Well, after a lot of coaxing from my dutch friend(who has done this himself), I decided to get a netbook for college, mainly because I didn't want something heavy, and I didn't want to do too much work on it in the first place. And the special thing is putting Mac OS X on it. It works 100% on almost everything but screen mirroring over VGA(as in, an external display sees what you see). Overall: I love it. I have used mac before, but not on a dedicated machine that belongs to me. I just got the latest disk from Best Buy, got the netbook from ebay, and followed a guide with some other corrections from a forum called mydellmini. I tested the graphics, Portal is not happy, but Cube 2 is happy.

This thing is the closest you can get to having a massive parabolic dish without having a massive parabolic dish. Here is the detailed construction of a 16dB gain QUAD BIQUAD antenna. This is sort of a rare breed, something you don't see too often, but it's killer. It's a bit more difficult to make than a standard one-element biquad, but it's worth it. This thing is almost as directional as my 18" parabolic dish. It is a bit expensive. Apple now has a patent which allows them to detect jailbroken phones and then they can brick the phones. Apple really does not like jailbreaking. A new patent shows off a touch screen iMac interface that kind of looks like an iOS/Mac OSX hybrid. It looks like an even bigger iPad to me. These speakers are from Harmon Kardon and they are much better than what can usually be found on netbooks. Put it this way you can actually use them to listen to music and watch movies. Despite being only a 10.1in netbook, the NB550D is actually a little bigger than a typical netbook, thanks to a deep palm rest and a wider-than-usual bezel around the screen. It has a good size keyboard that is very comfortable to hit; its touchpad is also fairly big. Around the edges of the netbook, you'll find three USB 2.0 ports, a 10/100 Ethernet port, headphone and microphone jacks and an HDMI port. Overall, the NB550D feels sturdy, looks good, it's light and it has good speed for a netbook.
